Today did not go at all as planned. We began the day inviting the Holy Spirit in. It was such a moving an powerful day I felt it important to have the Teacher Training Team share:
Debbie : Oh my goodness, you can not believe what the Lord is doing here. It is incredible. We did some teacher training but it turned into Q&A. The youth were asking questions and we were all sharing with them. They were just gobbling it up. The spirit was moving. We got into a giant circle; everyone was praying singing and crying out to the Lord. And yesterday, a young lady accepted the Lord and several rededicated their lives to the Lord. It has been an honor to be used by the Lord this way. It's almost like our teacher training morphed into a camp/discipleship/teacher training. God's ways are not ours and we just showed up. And boy oh boy did He show up. Keep praying!
Claire - I'm somewhat at a loss for words. Today was one of the most amazing experiences I've had while serving, and the most humbling. These young teachers, who vary in age from about 7 years old to adult age, just have the biggest hearts for Jesus. It feels as though we are learning more from these teachers than they are from us. They felt it in their hearts to ask to pray for one another, so the team gathered with the class in a BIG circle, holding hands, and praying. Let me tell you...these young brothers and sisters in Christ were worshipping, praying, and crying out to the Lord. You could just feel the Holy Spirit descend upon all of us. Then they stopped and asked pray over the team. Words cannot express how humbling and emotional it was to have a group of children and young adults come together to pray for our team, its mission, and the teaching we were sharing with them this week. It's one of those experiences I will remember for the rest of my life. And I owe it all to Jesus. What an amazing God we have and what amazing work he is doing and will do through these teachers.
Becky ????......Questions.......Questions....????? and Why do kids ask the best questions? Questions start conversations. Those conversations are about God and Jesus and sin and forgiveness and the garden and our place in Him and.... and... and....and then the Holy
spirit came down and BAM questions answered.
Bob - Wow! All I've got to say is WOW!
Okay, I'll say a little more. It's an awesome and wonderful thing to be gently pushed aside and have God take over. I am amazed the He sweeps us along and allows us to participate in His miraculous work. Please pray for us tomorrow as the students help to lead Vacation Bible School.
Theresa: We've had some heavy spiritual warfare and no wonder, The Holly Spirit was truly unleashed on that place today! He descended upon us in a mighty way. We barley taught on our own topics today. We were submissive to His prompting. We are truly in awe of His mighty power.
Mike: The morning started as a gift from God as the Holy Spirit cleansed us. I had a cleansing of a wound. The Heavenly Father has a soft spot for those that have suicidal thoughts and actions. The Holy Spirit led me to suggest better use of my time and instead of just one room I'd make two with a divider for later. There may be time for a third room. I'm blessed from receiving the shared testimonies in our teaching/and Holy Spirits intervention.
